Artist's Comments
The third in a commissioned four painting series of toy backdrop astronomicals. This one depicts a binary system. The large red giant is actually weaker and less dense than the blue dwarf. The gravitational pull of the dwarf sucks in matter from the red giant. The title refers to the crystals at left. Photoshop 6 w/Wacom tablet.
