The cover of the Feb. 1987 issue of Science Fiction Analog, from the story by Stephen L. Burns

The story is about a beautiful pilot named Gemyn, who saves the day on a morning of disaster, aboard a gigantic mining ship called "The Kingdom" off the moons of Jupiter...

This was my first cover for the magazine, that inspired my interest in science fiction, as a student studing art, in the late 70's.

The idea for the cover was inspired by the art of Frank Kelly Freas, a standard of art at Science Fiction Analog, during the 60's to the 80's.

Oil on masonite, 17" x 23"
